Especially the mother. She took great pains to keep Penelope indoors. In fact, they conducted a funeral when she was just a baby to declare to the world that she is “dead”. Many men had to come for audition for her hand in marriage and they had to sign an agreement to keep mum about what they see. Needless to say, all fled at the sight of that ghastly snort. What was of greater interest to me is how Penelope seems nonchalant about the whole unpleasant reception she always receive from the gentlemen. It has all become a boring routine to her.

She yearns to explore the outside world and she was willing to risk all the potential rejection, if only she can be allowed to live a normal life. Would you have courage as such? I am thankfully born with a nose that looks like any one of yours. In fact, I rather like my nose.

I can only imagine how it must feel to be the owner of a snout of a pig. By god, I have to admit even I am going to have an issue with it. Hence, I was drawn towards her attitude. There was no mourning, dramatic sobbing or mopping around the room all day long. She still wanted to be out there with the world. She truly possess the heart of a lioness. Does that apply to you too?

The curse was lifted in a most incredible manner. Instead of marrying a blue blood to lift the curse as was supposed by all, she unintentionally lifted her own curse when she said,” But I am fine with the way I am!” The power was in her all along! She CAN lift her own curse! Oh my, all these years of unnecessary pain and suffering!
